After opening O.N.E Center for Wellness just six months after meeting each other, Hillsborough moms Meg Shelton and Pauline Gyllenhammer have never made opening a small business, working full-time jobs, and raising kids look so easy.
“It’s been pretty busy,” Shelton said.
With almost 40 years of massage therapy between the two of them, Shelton and Gyllenhammer decided to join forces and create their own holistic center back in Decemeber.
O.N.E Center for Wellness aids those interested in obtaining a healthy mind, body, and spirit kind of lifestyle by offering massage therapy and yoga classes to the community. As the business grows, so will the variety of holistic services offered to clients.
Shelton said one of the most important aspects of growing and maintaining a new business has been the utilization of technology.
Besides making good use of social media, the center makes sure a full schedule of classes is always posted online. More importantly, all classes and massage appointments can be booked without ever having to pick up a phone through their website.
Although they have been open since May, O.N.E Center for Wellness will celebrate their grand opening on June 7 with refreshments provided for all who attend.
The festivities kick-off at 9:30 a.m., starting with a free yoga class followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Douglas Tomson, free yoga demonstrations, and free chair massages.
Also, for the entire month of June the wellness center has two types of special offers provided for both existing and potential clients:
- Buy one get one half off massages.
- Bring a friend to practice yoga for $10 each.
