Town Honors Those Who Served

Third Annual Veterans Day Ceremony honors the Hillsborough residents who served or are serving in the Armed Forces.

A cold Novemeber evening did not keep the town or its veterans from commemorating and recognizing service in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard Friday Night.

About 20 people gathered for Hillsborough's Third Annual Veterans Day ceremony, including township officals, Congressman Leonard Lance and the township's veterans.

"Today is commemorative, but it is also celebratory," Rep. Lance said in his speech during the ceremony. "We thank all of the verterans who servced."

In addition to the commemorative wreaths to honor township veterans, officials recognized and laid a wreath for late Hillsborough resident and State Assemblyman Pete Biondi.
