Thinking of Spring Fiestas and Cleaning

The weather's been cold, but what's happening around town focuses on warmer things.

Here at Hillsborough Patch, we're sick of winter.  Sick of it.  This is despite not being the world's biggest fans of summer either—heat and humidity means a cranky editor.  I guess you could say we don't like extremes; too hot or too cold is no good.  Luckily, the spring mentality is plowing forward, at least with the activities around town today.

  1. You Need to Know Where to Find a Spring Fiesta: and some awesome goods, including signed sports memorabilia, tickets to Disney and more!  For tickets/info. go to http://www.TriangleHSA.org or call 908-431-6600 ext. 7517.  Editor's Note: A Patch Reader informed us that this is sold out.
  2. You Need to Know Newborns like Singing Too: Good thing has a program covering that.  Contact 908-369-2200, extension 14 for further information.
  3. You Need to Know Where to Find the Best Summer Camps: If you missed our , stop over there for some suggestions.    The camps last from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and we had at least one Hillsborough resident singing its praises.
  4. You Need to Know Somerset County Has Some Outstanding Women: Advance reservations for the 6 p.m. are required, however.  Contact Commission Chairwoman Paula Marasco at 908-953-0791 for further information.
  5. You Need to Know Where to Dispose of Hazardous Household Waste: Somerset County residents can drop off hazardous waste, like antifreeze, transmission fluid, kerosene, gasoline, propane tanks, ammonia-based cleaners and pool chemicals, at the Bernards Township Public Works garage from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.  Proof of residency in Somerset County is necessary when bringing items to garage, which is at 277 South Maple Avenue, Basking Ridge.
