Signup New Jr. Raiders, Donate to Those in Need

You can do both this week in Hillsborough.

If you have youngsters who want to participate in Jr. Raiders football and cheerleading, it's time to sign them up. You can also donate to those in need while doing so on one of those days.

Here's a look at what else is happening this week:

Monday-It's snowed enough the last few weeks, so you might as well put it to good use. Cross country skiing is available on the trails of Lord Stirling Park Environmental Education Center daily, so head over on this day between 8 a.m.–5 pm

Tuesday-It's recycling day in Hillsborough. Make sure to place materials at curbside either the night before or no later than 7 a.m. on the day of collection day.

Wednesday-A screening of the film "A Race to Nowhere" by Vicki Abeles will be held at the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.

Thursday-The Hillsborough High School boys basketball team hosts Watchung Hills at 7 p.m. at Hillsborough High School.

Friday-The Jr. Raiders are holding football and cheerleading signups at the 7 to 9 p.m. Online pre-registration is required.

Saturday-You can help the Hillsborough Food Bank by donating cans of non-perishable food at the from 9 to noon. The collection runs in conjunction with the Jr. Raiders signups.

Sunday- in Basking Ridge is the site of the annual "I Love Horses'' Valentine's Day ride, with check in time being 10:30 a.m. A leisurely walk/trot  one-hour ride will be available to all riders at Intermediate Level 2 and above.
