No one will put a restaurant there again; remember our very own taxpayer paid for Business Advocate said that’s location is “not fit” for a restaurant, unless it serves "blue collar" workers. http://hillsborough.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/biz-advocate-fine-dining-not-fit-for-industrial-area

Sammy, what kudos to the Mayor? It didn't take any research to know that we expect our Mayor to fairly represent us, and the removal of home rule, and knuckling under to the developers is just plain wrong. Our legislative team has already figured this out and has introduced legislation to repeal the 2011 law that gave the State Racing Commission license to bypass home rule and build these OTW parlors (see below). Now it's up to us to keep the pressure on our local officials and the state to get a stay for Hillsborough if this doesn't pass in time. Come and attend the meeting. Just be there, and maybe the Mayor will get it finally! http://www.politickernj.com/72422/bateman-ciattarelli-simon-introduce-law-returning-track-wagering-approval-towns

mjb - Don't be foolish. The meeting is to help us get informed so we can effectively argue against the approval of the OTW application or to ask the Racing Commission to delay their decision pending the Legislature's decision to change the law back. Making comments about keeping the pressure on the mayor is nonsense... he and the committee have no say... that's the real issue here... returning home-rule back to the local government and residents.

I have no problem with it being here. Ive done my research, gone to woodbridge, been at a few Mcloones and am satisfied. Look forward to a new place to visit instead of bridgewater. Speaking of home rule. didnt Sarlo rule force the town to eat market units on Falcon Road instead of elder homes. where is the fight for home rule. Oh wait , its only a fight for home rule if its something you like to fight against. drama queens , afraid of Off Track Wagering. has anyone been to the Pegasus at Meadowlands. Looks to be a nice cross section of New Jersey. buffett is decent too :)
