Pies for Sale

There's a sweet deal for pie lovers and those who want to support local sports teams.

Hillsborough High School's Diamond Club, which supports the school's baseball teams, has a pie sale that covers entrees and (possibily the editor's favorite meal) desserts. And, having had Griggstown Quail Farms' Pies, Patch can say that they are worth the price—and great for a no-hassle dinner. 

Here's what you need to know today:

You Need to Know About Books: for preschoolers! The hosts a book club for children ages three to five at 10 a.m. today. They’ll be reading books by Nancy Tafuri and sharing book related activities, but you’ll need to register by calling 908-369-2200, extension 14.

You Need to Know Where to Find Support: The . The group meets at 10:30 a.m. at 200 Mount Airy Road in Basking Ridge. You’ll want to contact the social worker leading the event, Mary Lou Daly, at 908-766-0180, extension 242, to let her know you’re attending.

You Need to Know About Parents, Teachers and Caregivers: The hosts a workshop for parents, teachers and caregivers at 7 p.m. that focuses on helping parents and teachers recognize hearing loss and auditory processing disorders. Dr. Robert Woods, the presenter, is an audiologist and an audiology professor at several universities. Contact the Children’s Desk at 908-369-2200, extension 14 if you’re interested in attending.
