Hillsborough ShopRites Wins Cabot Creamery Cooperative 'Pedal For Good' Challenge

Cabot-ShopRite Pedal Out Hunger Champions - Pictured left to right on Friday, June 27 in Hillsborough are Melanie Gringas of Hillsborough, Brant Holmes of Bentley Community Services of Belle Mead, Rachael Simpers, Hillsborough ShopRite Registered Dietitian, Val Kuntz of Hillsborough, Dorothy Stearns-Holmes of Bentley Community Services of Belle Mead, helped log more than 82 miles to help the Hillsborough ShopRite win the Pedal Out Hunger store challenge that pitted customers and ShopRite associates from seven regional ShopRite stores against each other to win product donations to the food bank or food pantry of their choice, courtesy of Cabot Creamery Cooperative and ShopRite.  

Hillsboro ShopRite was the winning store with a total of 82 miles logged in just three hours.  A grand prize of 200 pounds of Cabot Cheddar was donated to Bentley Community Services and 50 pounds of Cabot cheddar was donated to the runners-up: Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Community Food Pantry of Washington, NJ, West Orange Food Bank, and the Interfairth Pantry of Greater Morristown.
