In his open letter about the off-track wagering site proposed by Darby Development L.L.C, Hillsborough Mayor Douglas Tomson addressed some of the public concerns that he deemed to be misconceptions or incorrect facts regarding the Township's legal requirements concerning the facility, according to centraljersey.com.
Mayor Tomson addressed issues such as the boundaries of the township's involvement in the decision, resident's concerns over traffic and parking in the surrounding area, and whether or not the facility could potentially expand the presence of gambling operations in Hillsborough, according to centraljersey.com.
