Happy Fourth of July

It seems obvious that we'd listed places that are closed for Fourth of July. Read on for why.

There's one thing I learned from my sister, who manages a retail store. It's that people tend to be very, very surprised when things are closed on holidays.

I'm not kidding. I know, it seems really obvious that store XYZ, government offices and other locations are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day and Fourth of July.

Then I heard stories about customers who came in on Christmas Eve, wondering why the store closed early—and I swear this is true—and then threw temper tantrum (technical term) because the store was not open Christmas Day.

I still do not understand this. Maybe something's wrong with my head.

That's why today's Take Five features some of the biggies for what's opened and closed around town.
