Grants Offer Green Education Opportunity

Township Green's inaugural column shares a grant opportunity that allows resident to learn about sustainable living.

The idea is inspiring change in a sustainable way.

BoroGreen, Hillsborough's sustainability-focused community group, is looking for residents interested in linking community and school-based sustainability efforts through a grant program that provides sustainability training.

The group is submitting a team of three to five people for an NJ Learns grant, which allows people from the same to town to learn and work together on sustainability and green issues.  Diverse backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to inspire change in all levels of our town. A typical team might consist of individuals affiliated with our schools, residents who are concerned about local environmental issues, community leaders, people who work in local government, and business owners.
