For Boston!

It’s that time of year again.

Nope, not school and not the start of fall—it’s time to go back to Boston!

That’s right, your Hillsborough Patch editor is making another pilgrimage to Beantown this year for a much-needed break. And a Dropkick Murphys/Mighty Mighty Bosstones/Street Dogs show (yes, I do almost all of my vacations because of/around tours.). I’ll also be heading from Boston to Washington D.C. for another race at the end of the trip.

So, instead of the normal events list, Take Five Takes a new spin.

Here’s What You Need to Know About Your Patch Editor Going on Vacation:

1. You Need to Know: Eileen leaves for vacation on Sept. 7. If you have an event that needs a preview article, please email her today—not Sept. 6.
2. You Need to Know: She returns on Sept. 12. If your event happens Sept. 7 through 12, please let her know in advance, so she can arrange for someone to cover it.
3. You Need to Know: As always, a substitute editor will be on-hand for emergencies.
4. You Need to Know: Advance notice is critical! If you let Eileen know about something in advance, she will make sure someone is able to come out. If you tell her the day before, she can’t guarantee last-minute coverage. And will also likely turn into a ball of stress.
5. You Need to Know: While Eileen usually checks her email on trips, she won’t be checking it as often or answering her phone.That's why advance notice is critical.
