Why Go: To enjoy a scenic ride at your own pace. It’s not a race but a wonderful benefit for The American Diabetes Association. At the finish line, you will be welcomed with cheering volunteers, complimentary lunch, music, entertainment and family fun.

Why Go: To walk and help the Fighting Children's Cancer Foundation raise money and awareness for families of children who are battling cancer. 
Pricing:  $20 per individual runner or walker. The fee for NJRRC members is $17.

When/Where: Saturday, June 4 at 9:00 a.m. at  in Hillsborough.
Why Go: To learn about a variety of bird species with a unique cycling adventure through the beauty of Duke Farms.
Pricing: $15 per person. The fee is $10 per person for members of NJ Audubon.

When/Where: Friday June 3rd from 8 to 10 p.m. at  in Hillsborough.
Why Go: Because it is one of the darkest nights of summer.  It's a perfect time for catching and examining bugs and moths.
Pricing: $8  per person, or $5 per person for members of N.J. Audubon. The maximum charge is $20 per family. Advance registration is  required.

When/Where: Saturday, June 4 at 9 a.m. at  in Hillsborough.
Why Go: Cast a line for fun and family. Proceeds from the derby benefit the Therapeutic Recreation Department. 
Pricing: $7 per child.

When/Where: Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m., at the  in Hillsborough.
Why Go: Because there is always two sides to every story ... especially with love. You can learn about those sides when The Somerset Valley Players present a free staged reading of this play, written and directed by Thomas Baldinger.
Pricing: Free. Mature audiences only. Donations gladly accepted.

GRAB & GO KIDS' PLANNER

The 24th Annual Scottish Games at Bonnie Brae
Where/When: 
From 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sat., June 4, at  School at 3415 Valley Road in the Liberty Corner section of Bernards Township.
Why Go: 
Because Scots or not, you've got to appreciate an authentic Scottish festival with about 600 pipers and drummers, Highland dancers, sheep dogs, brawny athletes, British sports cars, show dogs, re-enactors, vendors and entertainers and more. There will even be Scottish food — haggis, anyone?
Pricing: 
$12 for adults, $3 for ages 6-16 and children under 6 are free. Parking is $5.at the door.

Where/When: From 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday at  in Morristown.
Why Go: Children ages 7 to 11 will get the chance to learn the basic skills of archeology and unearth some treasures of their own.
Pricing: $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, $2 for children.

When/Where:  10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 2 at the  in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: Children up to age 5 will learn why animals have big ears and how they use their tails.
Pricing: $10 per child and parent, and $5 per additional child.

When/Where: 1 p.m., Sunday, June 5 at 1 p.m. at the   in Basking Ridge.
Why Go: To play imaginary games and enjoy a scavenger hunt on the trails of Colonial Park. There will be playground time for all ages.
Pricing: $10 per child and parent, and $5 per additional child.

When/Where: Thursday, June 2 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the .
Why Go: To show dad how much you love him with a special gift created with your own two hands.

Why Go: This craft makes a great Father's Day gift to help honor Dad on his special day.

When/Where: Sunday, June 5 at 11:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., at  in Bridgewater.
Why Go: It's part of the "Kids in the Kitchen" series. A cooking coach will lead a hands-on cooking class to help kids be introduced to great new foods. Two sessions will be held. Rotisserie chicken taco and rainbow rice will be on the menu. Each child will take home a copy of the recipe to share with the rest of the family. This event is recommended for children ages four and up.
Pricing: $10 per child and parent, or $5 per child and parent with Shoppers Club Card.

When/Where: Saturday, June 4 at 9 a.m. at the Hillsborough Family YMCA. 
Why Go: This 5K run and walk is a friendly community event promoting family fitness while raising money for YMCA financial assistance programs.
Pricing: The fee for adults 15 and over is $28; the fee for youths is $23.
