Creating an Online Treasure Map

A Saturday program allows residents to plot bike trails and other Hillsborough treasures

Do you know a great bike path, historic house or gem of a business that's in or around Hillsborough? BoroGreen wants you.

The local green group will , which hopes to plot community sites on an online map, at the this Saturday. The map can be integrated with surrounding townships' projects, allowing residents to plot bike rides, runs or other activities.

Though the session begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, residents can arrive at 12:30 p.m. to set up their laptops.

Here’s what you need to know today:

  1. You Need to Know Math Matters: The hosts a program for .  The program begins at 10 a.m. and you’ll need to register by calling 908-369-2200, extension 14.
  2. You Need to Know About Tree Houses: Kids can join theat Lord Stirling Park’s Environmental Education Center at 12:45 p.m. It’s $65 for about a month’s worth of activities.
  3. You Need to Know About Legos: The program that was scheduled for 4 p.m. has been canceled.  There’s another chance for it on Saturday, but you’ll need to RSVP by calling 908-369-2200, extension 14.
  4. You Need to Know To Go Green: BoroGreen, Hillsborough’s volunteer sustainable group, . The meeting location rotates, so you’ll need to visit the group’s website, borogreen.org, to find where it will be.
  5. You Need to Know About Falafel and Films: The , on Talmini Road in Bridgewater, . It begins with a 6:30 p.m. dinner and includes three films. Tickets are $10 in advance—there’s online registration at the center’s website—or $15 at the door.
