M3 Studios Offers “Power Walk” and Morning of Fitness Alternative to “Black Friday” To Focus on Exercise for Stress Reduction

Hopewell, NJ – Mel Johnson, founder and owner of M3 Studios, a unique and highly personal fitness environment focusing on functional training and results, has announced a post-Thanksgiving walk and morning of fitness.   A free “power walk,” held in cooperation with the D&R Greenway Land Trust, will be held on Friday, November 29 at 8:00 AM. Led by Johnson,  participants will take a fast-paced walk through the village of Hopewell to the scenic overlook at the top of the St. Michael’s Farm Preserve and back. The walk is expected to take less than an hour.   At 9:15 AM, M3 Studios will host a group personal training (GPT) class. The 45-minute GPT program will provide both cardio and strength training. And at 10:15 AM, Kristie Rosenberg, a trainer at M3, will lead a relaxing yoga class.    “The day after Thanksgiving, “Black Friday,” is typically viewed as ‘opening day’ for one of the most harried and stressful times of the year. We are hosting this morning of fitness to help remind people that exercise of any type will help them mitigate stress,” said Johnson. "There is no reason to wait until New Years to get in shape," he added.   Those wishing to take part in the "Power Walk" should come dressed for the weather and wearing athletic shoes. Walkers will meet at 7:50 AM at M3 Studios, located at 5 Railroad Place, directly across from the historic train station in Hopewell Borough.  Bottled water will be provided. Pre-registration is not necessary.   Those wishing to take a class must registration, as space is limited. For more information or to register on line, go to www.m3studios.net or call 609-333-0096.
