HHS Alumni Cheerleader Exhibits Locally

On Sunday, January 12, 2014, the Hillsborough High School Competition Cheerleading Team took a short trip over to Bridgewater High School for the UCA Garden State Cheer Championships.  Unfortunately the HHS Team could not compete in the competition due to a few injuries, as they are healing to make a run for a High School National Cheer title in Disney in February, however they were there to support the other local teams from the area.

As well, they were there to support one of HHS 2013 Cheerleading graduates, Stefani Levonaitis.  Stef is a freshman at the University of Delaware and has continued her cheerleading career at the University of Delaware being a part of their Football and Basketball Coed Cheerleading Team as well as being selected to be a part of the Coed National Competition Team.  Stef and the rest of the University of Delaware Coed cheerleading squad performed an exhibition of their breathtaking National Routine as they prepare to attend the UCA College National Championships in Orlando the weekend of January 18, 2014.  The squad has placed 2nd nationally the past few years and is hoping all their hard work this year will earn them a 1st Place finish and a National Championship Title.

It was great for the HHS girls (and parents) to see Stef and the success she has had already being a part of the University of Delaware Cheer Team and it gave the HHS Squad an opportunity to see what the college level of Competitive Cheerleading is like.  They also enjoyed watching the National Routines of Rutgers University Girls and CoEd Teams, University of Wilmington, Temple University, and TCNJ!   We wish all our local college teams the best of luck in Nationals!
