On June 18th, Mary Gatta, Senior Scholar at Wider Opportunities for Women (WOW), will discuss All I Want is A Job!, her most recent book which puts a human face on our nation’s unemployment and workforce development systems. This event, sponsored by the Monmouth County Democratic Women’s Caucus, will be held at Rooney’s Ocean Front Restaurant, 100 Ocean Avenue, Long Branch, 7 pm., and kicks off a series of events focusing on economic equality for women.
In All I Want is A Job!, Gatta offers a first-hand perspective on each page of her book and informs how the workforce systems fail women. Acting “undercover” as a client of a New Jersey One Stop Career Center, Gatta shares with her audience the experiences of women navigating the system and the front line workers who are charged to help them find jobs in an unforgiving labor market.
Author Mary Gatta will be signing books, available for purchase from River Road Books at the event. Please RSVP – Retha Onitiri (609) 903-3433.
