Township Committee to Honor Longtime Public Works Director

And the high school girls basketball team hosts Hamilton's Nottingham High School today in Hillsborough

After accepting the retirement plans of Buck Sixt, Hillsborough's longtime director of the Department of Public Works, the Township Committee is now ready to give a nod to his accomplishments at Tuesday's committee meeting.

Sixt's crews are likely out cleaning off Hillsborough roads this morning (if the forecast for today is correct)—a task he has been overseeing for nearly 20 winters.

The committee will sing his praises with a proclamation, which is sure to mention the work undertaken after Superstorm Sandy and possibly his part in developing a method for applying salt solution to roads ahead of snow and ice buildup.

The committee will also take action on several appointments and job changes, including re-appointing Nancy Costa as Chief Financial Officer, and granting permanent employee status to Dana Margelis.
