You and your dog will learn the skills necessary t o help you pass both of these tests. Please note that participation in t he class assumes that your dog has already completed a Basic Obedience c lass and is at least one year old (for the Therapy Dog portion)\, and th at you have owned the dog for at least 6 months.\nThe class costs $180.0 0\, which includes testing fees. This is a 5 week class with the 6th wee k designated for administering the test(s). You do not have to take both tests &ndash\; you can take one or the other\, or both!\nThe CGC portio n of the class focuses on obtaining the AKC&rsquo\;s Canine Good Citizen certification\, and is recommended for anyone who would like to be reco gnized for their skills with their obedient dog! Your dog does NOT have to be a pure breed &ndash\; just a &lsquo\;Canine Good Citizen&rsquo\;.
