Kindermusik for the Young Child is a curriculum for child ages 5-7 years old.
The goal is to provide children the music skills and concepts to help them for more formal private music lessons.
Children meet as a group once a week and begin to learn the basics of written music. They experience a variety of musical styles. Throughout the class they play instruments, dance and play games to help learn about the concepts.
They also begin to play the glockenspiel in Semesters 1 & 2 and the Recorder and Dulcimer in Semesters 3 & 4. This gives them a chance to learn about wind, percussion and string instruments! It provides them a hands on experience making music.
Parents join in the last 10 minutes of class so they know how to support their child at home!
Check out our class where the children learn their singing and speaking voice. They also learn about the rhythmic pattern quarter, quarter, quarter - REST!
Cost $16.25/week - semesters run 16 weeks.
