BASIC MANNERS 1:
Our beginners group class is offered to puppies and dogs’ current on age-appropriate vaccinations (registration and proof of vaccinations required before attendance in the first session). Basic Manners 1 is for dogs who have not had any training or who have had minimal training. This 7 week program meets once a week, focusing on beginning basic obedience skills, such as ‘watch’, ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘walking nicely on leash’, ‘automatic sit’, ‘come’ 'leave it', etc.! Q & A offered each week to help prevent and correct unwanted behaviors such as jumping, mouthing, potty training, destructive chewing, barking. We also discuss grooming, nutrition, exercise and more.
Classes start every 8 weeks on Monday evenings and also Saturday mornings. We also have Basic Manners 2, Puppy Socials, Rally-O, Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog classes and certification, Sunday Socials for adolescent and adult dogs, Dog About Town, Fun with Agility, Tricks and Games with your dog and more! Make Sit Happen is a dog obedience and training facility that offers a comprehensive approach to training well-mannered dogs. Many types of training programs are available through group classes or private, in-home sessions. Pet owners are also instructed on how to use training rules and exercises to not only discipline, but communicate with their dogs and develop loyal relationships. Dogs that come to Make Sit Happen can participate in Sunday Socials and puppy socialization lessons, Basic Manners, Agility classes, Therapy Dog classes, and even Tricks classes.
