We are looking at cars made outside the United States.
If you’re looking for a great new ride to get your day started off just right, we’ve got some vehicles being sold right around the corner. We are very patriotic, we admit it. But sometimes it is nice to get something out of this country, a little foreign-born—some believe they are of superior quality and value. A lot of ostensibly foreign vehicles are made in the U.S.A—and a lot of so-called "American" cars are constructed abroad. So this week, we are featuring a list of five cars that were developed across the pond, outside of the country we call home. 1. 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG — Used — $189,999 From Cars.com: Bred from a German company, this used vehicle, with 55 miles on it so far, has speed-sensitive power steering, aluminum space …

Property owners can receive credit to tax bill; renters, non-resident workers can get cash under "Shop Hillsborough" program.
Last night's pizza and tomorrow's hair appointment could add up to a lower tax bill for those who register in the "Shop Hillsborough" program approved by the Township Committee at Tuesday's meeting. The program, sponsored by Marlboro-based Fincredit Inc., will collect contributions from participating merchants in town based on the sales made by residents presenting special cards. The cards will be sent to all township residents, who will have to register their card online, adding the lot and block information of their property (renters and workers can also participate and would receive a payment at the end of the year instead on a credit applied to property tax bills). According to Fincredit Managing Director Carmine de Falco, the program …

Estimated 400,000 people expected in region; team practices to be held in Florham Park and Media Day in Newark
The 2014 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium is expected to have a $550 million economic impact on New Jersey and New York, with an estimated 400,000 people in the region, according to a report on dailyrecord.com. Businesses should start preparing for the flood of visitors now, according to speakers at The Big Game Huddle, an informational and networking event held Wednesday at Raritan Valley Country Club. “Start the celebration now,” said Wayne Hasenbalg, president and chief executive officer of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority. “You don’t have to wait until the week before the game," he told the dailyrecord.com. That impact will be felt in North and Central Jersey, as one of the competing teams will practice at the Atlantic …

These cars are from the mid-90s (and one from the mid-80s).
If you’re looking for a great new ride to get your day started off just right, we’ve got some vehicles being sold right around the corner. The Bridgewater Township Library is hosting its annual vintage car show this weekend, and so we thought it might be nice to get in the antique spirit. Although Somerset County locales are not selling exceptionally old vehicles, there are a few from the mid-90s, and one from the mid-80s, that might fulfill your need for, well, a kind of vintage car. 1. 1985 Ferrari Testarossa — Used — $59,900 From Cars.com: It only has 28,700 miles on it (not bad for an almost 30-year-old car), but it's got the leather interior, and—how vintage is this?—a working cassette radio. Available from private owner Kevin …
