Patriots Fall in One-Run Pitching Duel

The York Revolution shut out the Somerset Patriots 1-0 before 5,529 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Thursday night.

The Revolution broke a scoreless tie in the top of the sixth inning. Scott Grimes doubled and then scored on an RBI double by Ramon Castro.

Corey Thurman (5-1) picked up the win for York, scattering six hits over seven scoreless innings. Patriots starter Doug Arguello (3-2) allowed the one run on three hits in eight innings pitched to suffer the loss. R.J. Rodriguez earned his ninth save of the season.

The 2012 Somerset Patriots season will continue at home on Friday with a 7:05 p.m. game against the Revolution. The game includes a post-game fireworks show. For more information, visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
