First year Jr. Raider Cheerleader Scarlett Bottone opened the season on September 8th with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem.  Scarlett is a first grader at Woodfern Elementary School in Hillsborough.  As a finalist for Miss New Jersey, Scarlett has sung the National Anthem before as part of her talent competition.  Opening day was her first time singing at a sporting event.  Scarlett's mother, Barbara Bottone, noted that her daughter "has been singing since she was four years old [and] she never stops".  The performance was a real crowd pleaser and got fans charged up to watch their favorite team's first game.
