Who's Hillsborough's Person of the Year?
TIME magazine named Barack Obama their person of the year. Tell us who you think should win from our town!
On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Barack Obama as their Person of the Year.
The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including Barack Obama, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle.
But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is Hillsborough’s Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse”?
Was it someone who stepped up during Superstorm Sandy? Maybe the subject of your favorite feature story. Whoever it was, tell us your pick in the comment section below.

Who is Hillsborough’s Person of the Year - all the volunteers in town; fire, ems and all the individuals who spend 100's of hours providing for our youth and seniors forgoing time with their own families for the sake of others in town.

Great point! It absolutely is all the volunteers around town that dedicate their time to make Hillsborough a better place. People forget that we have 100's of citizen's that serve on Boards and commissions, volunteer as fire fighters or EMS and the elected officials that give their time to make Hillsborough what it is.

I totally agree. Hillsborough has the best EMS and Fire Fighters.
