Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Want to Meet Your Hillsborough Patch Folk?

Come meet them during our first meet and greet hours!

Hillsborough Patch is preparing to host the first of its soon-to-be regular monthly office hours—and we really want to meet you!

We'll be hosting an informal meet and greet from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Hillsborough Public Library. You can learn a little bit about the site, what goes into running it as well as how to use the online news site.

So, remember, come by the library Feb. 23 and take an opportunity to meet and speak to your friendly neighborhood Patch folk!

We'll see you then!

Here's what you need to know today:

You Need to Know About Tools: Children ages two to six can enjoy a story time activity that teaches them about tool at 10 a.m. today at the Hillsborough Public Library. You’ll want to call 908-369-2200, extension 14 to check that slots in the program are still open.

You Need to Know About Art: Kreative Kids Art and Music Academy hosts an open art class from noon to 2 p.m. today. The $15 class allows kids to try many different types of art, including clay, paint, colored pencils, markers and more. Pre-registration is required though, so you’ll need to call them at 908-431-4439 by 10 a.m. Saturday to let them know you’re participating.

You Need to Know It’s About Walking: Duke Farms offers a Walk on the Wild Side at 10 a.m. today, where participants can explore a 1.25 mile trail and see the wildlife indigenous to the Duke Estate. You’ll need to check for trail availability, which you can do by calling  (908) 722-3700.

You Need to Know About Blood Drives: Bridgewater’s Bradley Gardens and Finderne Fire Companies will be hosting blood drives that begin at 8 a.m. today, to help two ill firefighters. You can call 908-698-7739 to schedule a slot at the Bradley Gardens drive and 908—672-2568 for a spot at the Finderne drive.

You Need to Know About Legos: The Hillsborough Public Library hosts Lego Buddies, a program for Lego lovers in grades three to five, at 3 p.m. today. You’ll need to call 908-369-2200, extension 14 to ensure the program still available space.
