Roadway Re-Opened After Crash, Fuel Spill
Two-car accident closed Millstone River Road for much of Wednesday.
An accident that shut down a portion of Millstone River Road Wednesday night remains under investigation, Hillsborough Police said.
According to a Nixle alert sent out at about 5 p.m., Millstone River Road between Blackwells Mills Road and Amsterdam Drive was re-opened.
Kadiatu Wilson, 32, of North Brunswick was traveling northbound on the road when her vehicle struck a guard rail and then crossed into the southbound lane shortly before 7:30 a.m., police said.
Wilson’s vehicle then struck a Ford dump truck operated by James Chambon, 22, of Martinsville. The fuel tank on Chambon’s vehicle tore open as a result of the impact, causing diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway, police said.
One of the occupants of Chambon’s vehicle, whose identity was not released, was transported to Somerset Medical Center for treatment, police said.
