Sandy Closes County, State Roads in Somerset
New Jersey Department of Transportation issues list of closed and partially closed roads.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation has issued a list of state and interstate highways that were impacted by the storm as of noon Tuesday.
Among the road and lane closures were multiple incidents on Route 78 and 206. The following were listed by the DOT.
Full Closures
- Route 27 both directions at County Route 680/How Lane in Franklin due to a downed tree.
- Route 27 both directions at south of County Route 610/Henderson Road in Franklin due to downed wires.
- U.S. 202 both directions north of County Road 512/Sunnybranch Road in Bernardsville due to a downed tree.
- U.S. 202 both directions south of County Road 523/Hillside Avenue/Lamington Road in Bedminster due to a downed pole.
- U.S. 206 both directions north of Hillsborough Road in Hillsborough due to a downed tree.
- U.S. 206 both directions north of U.S. 202 in Bedminster due to a downed utility poll.

- I-287 northbound at exit 26 (County Road 525/Mount Airy Road) in Bernards; ramp is closed due to a downed tree.
- I-287 northboud north of exit 14 (U.S. 22) in Bridgewater; right lanes closed due to downed tree.
- I-287 northbound south of exit 12 (County Road 623) in Franklin; right lane closed due to downed tree.
- I-287 northbound north of exit 26 (County Road 525/Mount Airy Road) in Bernards; left lane closed due to downed tree.
- I-287 northbound south of exit 13 (Route 28) in Bridgewater; right lanes closed due to downed tree.
- I-287 northbound south of exit 21 (I-78) in Bedminster; ramp closed due to downed tree.
- I-287 southbound south of exit 14 (U.S. 22) in Bridgewater; left lane closed due to downe tree.
- I-287 southbound south of exit 21 (I-78) in Bridgewater; left lane closed due to downed tree.
