The following Letter to the Editor was submitted by Hillsborough resident Frederick Gladstone. 

Dear Editor

I am writing this letter to ask voters to consider voting for Mayor Carl Suraci and Greg Burchette. Mayor Suraci has done an outstanding job, along with the Township Committee, in making Hillsborough a wonderful place to live. Our recreation department is second to none and we have strong senior citizen programs in place including providing transportation to senior citizen meetings held right in the municipal building.

I have also been very impressed with Mr. Burchette. Mr. Burchette is a local business owner and has worked as Chairman of the Planning Board. He has demonstrated his commitment to civic responsibilities. As Planning Board Chairman, Mr. Burchette made it a priority to preserve open space. I’ve been impressed that while homes have been constructed in Hillsborough, Mr. Burchette has always made it important to have land set aside for non-development. This promotes the enjoyment for all citizens of Hillsborough. Mr. Burchette would be a true asset to the Township as a member of Township Committee.
