Hillsborough Income Tax was declared the winner of the Hillsborough Patch Readers' Choice contest for tax preparers. It was very close, however, as Kevin Brett and Christopher Demba & Associates, CPA each received a great rating on their directory listing.

Winners are chosen based on both the number of votes they received in our poll and the number ratings they receive during the week on their page.

In the event of a tie, we take into account the number of positive comments on our poll story, as well as the reviews posted on the businesses' directory pages.

Christopher Demba & Associates, CPA got this great five-star rating from Robert P. Baker this week: "Chris Demba has been doing both my personal and business taxes for several years and his advice has been very valuable in keeping what I owe to a minimum."

A comment on this week's poll said that Hillsborough Income Tax Service "has been doing our taxes for years, through changes in circumstances, deaths in the family, self-employment, etc. We also use them for financial planning with great results."
