Only minor injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Route 206 near Dukes Parkway East.

The crash occurred at about 2 p.m.

A second accident then closed a portion of Dukes Parkway East between Johanson Avenue and the Manville border before being re-opened at about 4 p.m.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story indicated there was one accident. However, there were two crashes in the same area.

Was the Dukes Parkway East closing due to a second separate MVA?

I think so. First accident occurred at 1:45 and Dukes Parkway was not closed by HPd until later in the afternoon, around 4:00

How many accidents need to occur before we get the bypass finished. Just more proof that this should be a priority for the state.

Neither of these accidents was anywhere near the bypass. The completion of the bypass should not effect traffic in these areas.

The bypass will not be finished for many years. They dont have the money for phase 1 or 3 just phase 2. The reason is I live in the construction zone and the workers tell me this.

Why do we publish photos like this and NOT block the license plates. I guess it is s personal peeve, but maybe the driver did not contact his family and does not wish to have this out there. Just saying....................

Mark, I have thought about this myself. Most people do not know their own plates, let alone those of their family members. Also, it has to do with one's expectation of privacy; you are on a public roadway. Finally, in this day-and-age everyone could be taking photographs of the accident and posting it all over the internet.

Some more photos of the bumper would be nice.
