'Hillsborough Shorts' Building a Long Tradition

Now in its fifth year, series of one-act plays on stage Friday night at Hillsborough High.

A series of five one-act plays—written and directed by students—will be performed Friday night at Hillsborough High School.

"Hillsborough Shorts," in its fifth year, is produced by BJ Solomon.

“Since Solomon took over last year, students received a lot more freedom in terms of time and money," said Carol Kravette, a parent with the Hillsborough Theater Program. "They are given every opportunity that is afforded main stage productions during the year.”

The students are from Melissa Blevin’s Drama II class. Students directing are Sabrina Patrizio, Justin Luckenbaugh, Zachary Elliot and Nihal Honward.

The Drama II class consists of freshman to seniors at HHS.

Tickets for Friday's performance are $12 and can be purchased at HHStheatre.org or at the door. For more information, call 908-431-6600 x2099.
