Head to a Production of 'Phantom'
Hillsborough High School students put their hard work on display this week.
A school production of a Broadway hit is just one of the things you can spend your time on over the next seven days. It's also recycling day this week.
Here's a look at what else is happening this week:
Monday-A women's self defense class will be taught at 7 p.m. in Program Room A of the Hillsborough Public Library. Different aspects of victimology, as well as defensive moves, takedowns, kicking and punching will be discussed.
Tuesday-It's recycling day in Hillsborough. Remember to place materials at curbside either the night before or no later than 7 a.m. on your collection day.
Wednesday-Comedian Matt Bellace will perform "It's 21 For A Reason" at 7 p.m. at the Ridge Performing Arts Center at Ridge High School.
Thursday-Find out how to make and fly an old-fashioned kite at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater at 4 p.m. Advanced registration and payment are required, so make sure to check out the event listing soon.
Friday-Head to Hillsborough High School for a student production of "Phantom of the Opera" at 7 p.m. The show is also being shown on Saturday at the same time, and on Sunday at 1 p.m.
Saturday-Hillsborough High School will also be the site of "Shelter From The Storm 6," which will raise money to build schools for girls in Pakistan and Afghanistan. It will include a mini-Epcot, free ethnic food, cultural dancers and musicians, and more. It will run from noon to 4 p.m.
Sunday-Hip and healthy foods will be created by young chef participants at the Young Chefs Academy in Hillsborough. Mini Veggie Frittatas, Breakfast Cereal Muffins and Creamy Berry Smoothie are on the menu.
