Evan Edelman was strong on the mound and Pat Roberts connected on a three-run home run as the Hillsborough High School baseball team beat Hunterdon Central 6-1 Friday in Flemington to capture the North Jersey Section 2, Group 4 championship.
Edelman gave up four hits while striking out four and walking one to lead 11th-seeded Hillsborough, which advances to face Ridgewood in the Group 4 semifinals Tuesday.
Roberts provided the Raiders (16-13) with some breathing room with his three-run homer in the top of the seventh inning.
