Hillsborough Residents Add to East Coast #Meteor SnapWidget Photo Gallery
Social networks are abuzz with news of a meteor that could be seen streaking across the sky Friday night from New England to the mid-Atlantic. Instagram your picture of the meteor with hashtag #meteor to add it to our self-updating gallery.
Several Hillsborough residents reported seeing a large, bright meteor Friday evening, following the reports from up and down the Eastern Seaboard.
"It was amazing—it was a bright light coming towards us," Joe Bonsignore posted on our Facebook page. "As it got closer, you could see the tail. And as it passed it appeared to break up."
Pooja Schuster, Anoli Mehta, Melissa Podolski Vanduyn and Celeste Clemente Ortiz also posted having seen the meteor.
