An East Hanover woman resisted arrested and assaulted officers at a Revere Court residence earlier this month, Hillsborough Police said Friday.

Christina Stella, 26, was charged with simple assault and released after processing, police said.

According to police, officers responded to the residence on March 7 for a report of an intoxicated person attempting to drive.

Stella allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted officers when she was taken into custody, police said.

No further information was provided. A spokesman for the police department could not be reached for further comment.
