I don't even have to be told anything more to know it was someone going TOO FAST for the road conditions. The road has 3 sharp turns (90 degrees) and is used as a bypass from Dukes estate to Belle Mead... eliminating the dreaded Hillsborough parking lot of 206. Trucks come barreling down the road, sometimes crossing the center line, and giving opposing traffic no choice but to hit the ditch. Drivers who have never traveled the road ignore the signs and take these dangerous curves going the posted 35-50 mph and while they might get away with it when it's dry... forget it if it's even partially wet. Communters are worse... being so oblivious to the fact that they are not the only ones on the road.

There were rumble strips put in to slow traffic... but they are minimal and barely make a sound any more. We have another maybe 8 years before the formal bypass is completed. I'm guessing those who have found Dukes/New Center/Auten Road to be a pleasurable experience will continue to use this diversion. A suggestion should be made to have large trucks banned from this mostly "country" styled roadway. Businesses tucked into this mostly rural area should start making plans to make their deliveries safe.
